A Selection of Polished Nail Boutique’s Community Giving
Polished Boston supports various charities through in-kind giving and service donations. Some of our favorite causes are listed below.
Photoshoot for a Cure
Photo Shoot for a Cure is a series of photo shoot events benefiting Team Fox. The series is produced by photographer Diana Levine, in support of her Mom, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 12 years ago. 100% of Photo Shoot for a Cure party proceeds go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
The Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor (formerly Home Away Boston)
Polished Boston donates free manicures to the guests of RMH at Boston Harbor. We have been told that receiving a manicure brings a feeling of “being complete” or “renewal” for families going through a very stressful and difficult time. We also close the salon one day every other month to give on-site manicures to these young patients.
In 2016 and 2017, Shannon ran the Boston Marathon to benefit RMH at Boston Harbor, raising over $33,000.
Polished Boston performed 8 hours of free manicures on teacher appreciation day at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School in Somerville, MA.
Polished Boston has also been privilege to support these local nonprofits by donating gift cards or for fundraising events or on-site free manicures to patients:
Bigelow Cooperative Daycare Center (Somerville, MA)
Scholarship fund that enables low-income families access high quality early childhood education.
Respond Inc. (Somerville, MA)
